Trump Accounts (IRC §530A, created by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act) are currently limited to children.
- In October 2026 Treasury said every eligible child under 18 with a valid Social Security Number now has a Trump Account, which a parent or guardian must claim to manage.
- Families and employers can contribute up to $5,000 a year, and the beneficiary gets access at 18.
- Philanthropists have become a major funding source.
- The Dells gave $250 each to the first 25 million children who signed up.
- On Oct 19, 2026, Elon Musk said he would give one of his SpaceX shares to every “kid” in America next year, calling it “the first of many,” but he did not say what age counts as a kid.
