If the certified percentage of the popular vote received by Yes in the 2026 California Proposition 40 election is 38% to 100%, inclusive of both endpoints, then the market resolves to Yes.
Settles via:California Secretary of State
- The percentage is calculated as (total votes received by Yes on California Proposition 40 ÷ total valid votes cast on California Proposition 40) × 100, rounded to the specified decimal places.
- Total valid votes cast on the measure is the sum of Yes votes and No votes as reported by the California Secretary of State; ballots that record no vote on the measure are excluded from both the numerator and the denominator.
- Resolution is based on certified/official results only, not preliminary results.
- Invalid, spoiled, or rejected ballots are excluded from both numerator and denominator.
- If the certified percentage of the popular vote received by Yes in the 2026 California Proposition 40 election is 40% to 100%, inclusive of both endpoints, then the market resolves to Yes.
