Rules
This market will resolve to "Yes" if is officially announced that OpenAI and Anthropic have agreed to merge by Dec 31, 2023, 11:59 PM ET.
- The announcement must indicate that the two organizations have agreed to combine their operations.
- This could be a legal merger where they form one entity, a joint venture, or an acquisition of one by the other.
- If no such announcement is made by Dec 31, the market will resolve to "No".
- Note that an announcement before the end date of a OpenAI/Anthropic merger will suffice to resolve this market to "Yes" regardless of if or when the merger actually occurs.
- The resolution source will be official statements from OpenAI and/or Anthropic, however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
