SIDUS is the utility token of SIDUS HEROES, a science-fiction Web3 gaming metaverse that grew from a browser-based play-to-earn RPG into a set of connected games, NFT collections and token tools. SIDUS pays for in-game actions such as upgrades, construction, marketplace operations and fees, while a second token, SENATE, handles governance. The project matters mainly as an example of an early play-to-earn metaverse that tried to spread one token economy across several games.
Important note: in September 2026 the project's long-standing domain, sidusheroes.com, redirected to a domain-parking page and no longer served SIDUS HEROES content, and the linked wiki subdomain did not resolve. The descriptions below rely on archived copies of the official site from 2023 to June 2026.
The official site described SIDUS HEROES as "a cross-platform WEB3 metaverse for gamers with a unified lore, token, unique Play-to-Earn mechanics, and value system." Its earliest version, presented as a futuristic NFT RPG, centred on heroes, guilds and the Sidus Station. By mid 2026 the archived homepage listed several titles and tools under one brand: Xenna (real-time strategy for PC, Mac, iOS and Android), Tembazar (cooperative shooter), Nidum (arena battler), a Telegram hub called TON Station, the SidusPad launchpad, LP farming pools, Sidus Protocol and SidusAI.
The founding team and the legal entity behind SIDUS HEROES are not named in the official pages reviewed for this page. The archived site shows public beta releases in early 2022, staking programs, a Sidus Academy NFT sale, a module economy and later expansion to further games and chains. The site listed two industry awards: "The Golden Excellence in Metaverse Gaming Company Award" (Dubai, February 2023) and "The Best Emerging Project in 2023" (Bangalore, December 2023). Because the official domain is now parked, the current status of the team and games could not be confirmed.
The design uses two tokens. SIDUS is the everyday utility currency: players earn and spend it through gameplay, the labour market, upgrades and item replication. SENATE is the governance token, which the tokenomics page tied to an in-game political system (for example presidential or senate elections), real estate processes, spaceship construction and voting.
The tokenomics page said that each month the team burned tokens coming from module investments and in-game purchase profits, reducing total supply over time.
According to the archived tokenomics page, SIDUS is used for:
The documented maximum supply is 30 billion SIDUS and 300 million SENATE, with multi-stage vesting. SIDUS contracts exist on Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base and Linea. An on-chain read in September 2026 returned a total supply of roughly 18.9 billion on the Ethereum contract and roughly 1.2 billion on the BNB Chain contract. These inferred figures differ from the documented 30 billion maximum.
SIDUS stood out for its dual-token political layer, in which governance tokens were tied to elections and property inside the game world, and for trying to run several different genres (strategy, shooter, arena) on one shared token economy.
SIDUS is not a blockchain; it is a gaming token deployed on several EVM networks. Compared with Star Atlas, another space-themed metaverse that also uses a utility and governance token pair, SIDUS focused on browser and lighter cross-platform games. Compared with Illuvium or Big Time, it put more weight on player governance and a module-based economy than on a single high-budget title.
Token security depends on the chains where SIDUS is deployed (Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base and Linea) and on the project's bridge contracts. Bridged tokens add bridge risk. No audit reports were available from the official site at the time of writing because the domain no longer serves project content.
SIDUS is a useful case study in the play-to-earn era: an ambitious multi-game metaverse with a two-token economy and regular burns. Anyone researching it today should weigh the historical design against the uncertainty around the project's current status.
SIDUS has historically traded on centralized exchanges and on decentralized exchanges on Ethereum and BNB Chain. Listings could not be verified for this page, so check an exchange's own asset page and confirm the contract address before trading.
SIDUS can be held in EVM wallets such as MetaMask, Trust Wallet or hardware wallets that support the relevant chain. Make sure the wallet is connected to the same chain as the token contract you hold.
