CARV is a data and identity infrastructure project that started in gaming and now positions itself around autonomous AI agents. Its stack combines a portable identity system called CARV ID, a network of verifier nodes running inside trusted execution environments, a data framework that feeds onchain and offchain information to agents, and an execution chain built on the Solana Virtual Machine that settles to Ethereum.
CARV is the network's ERC-20 token, used for governance, staking, node incentives and payments inside the stack, and intended as the gas and liquidity asset for CARV's own chain.

CARV was founded in the early 2020s by a team including Victor Yu, who serves as chief operating officer, and Chloe Xiaoyi Gu as chief executive. The company is based in Singapore, and its GitHub organization was created in November 2021.
The first product surface was gaming: CARV Play, a quest and campaign platform for studios, and CARV ID, a credential that let a player aggregate accounts across chains and platforms into one owned profile. The pitch then shifted from gaming analytics to a general modular data layer, and then to AI agents. In January 2025 CARV announced the CARV SVM Chain testnet and the D.A.T.A. Framework, and by 2026 its public positioning had moved to what it calls sovereign AI Beings. The narrative has changed more than once, while the underlying assets, identity plus a verifier network plus a data pipeline, stayed relatively stable.
Identity through CARV ID CARV ID implements ERC-7231, a standard for binding multiple offchain and onchain identities to one non-fungible token while keeping the links private. That gives an account, human or agent, a persistent handle carrying reputation without exposing every linked account.
Verification through nodes in trusted execution environments Node operators run software inside hardware enclaves and produce remote attestations proving the code ran unmodified. The right to operate is a node license NFT, which can be delegated. Nodes are rewarded for correct verification work.
Data delivery through the D.A.T.A. Framework D.A.T.A. turns raw chain data and offchain sources into structured, queryable, attested inputs for agents. It exposes SQL query interfaces over Ethereum, Bitcoin, Base and Solana data plus news, token and social lookups, and ships an integration for the ElizaOS agent framework.
Execution through the CARV SVM Chain CARV's chain runs Solana Virtual Machine execution and settles to Ethereum, giving agents fast execution with Ethereum-anchored finality. Note the status carefully: the public documentation lists testnet RPC, bridge and explorer endpoints and marks the mainnet section as coming soon, while CARV's own announcements describe a mainnet agentic chain and a privacy upgrade using zero-knowledge enclaves. Total supply is fixed at 1,000,000,000 CARV, released over four years from the token generation event on 10 October 2024. The documented allocation is Nodes and Community 50.000 percent, Founding Team and Advisors 19.459 percent, Early Investors 9.246 percent, Ecosystem and Treasury 9.000 percent, Private Fundraising 8.295 percent and Liquidity 4.000 percent.

veCARV is a non-transferable governance token used for voting, delegation and node operator incentives. Converting it back into CARV requires an unlocking period, and documented redemption rates scale with patience: 25 percent after 15 days, 60 percent after 90 days, 100 percent after 150 days, with a small CARV fee per redemption. Whatever is forfeited returns to the treasury or may be proposed for burning.
A separate staking token, veCARV(s), uses a Curve-style time-lock: lock CARV for one month to three years, receive a balance that decays toward the unlock date, and earn a multiplier the documentation describes as reaching up to nine times for the longest lock. It is non-transferable.
Compared with data networks focused on collection and marketplaces, CARV puts more weight on attestation and identity and less on raw dataset volume. Compared with compute-oriented AI networks, it is not selling GPU capacity but verified context and an execution environment for agents. The trade-off is breadth: identity, a node network, a data framework, an incubator and a chain are five products, each competing with focused specialists.
Security rests on several layers. The token is a standard ERC-20 on Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum and BNB Chain, with a separate SPL mint on Solana. Verification integrity depends on enclave attestation being correct and the hardware enclave being uncompromised, which is a real and researched attack surface. Chain-level security depends on settlement to Ethereum and on whatever sequencing arrangement is in force. Because the same address is reused across EVM chains and differs on Solana, verify the network and address before any transfer.
CARV is one of the more concrete attempts at a question that matters if autonomous agents become common: how does software prove who it is, where its data came from and that it computed honestly. Identity aggregation, hardware attestation and a verified data pipeline are sensible components. The open question is whether a small team can carry five product lines at once.
