Zentry is an ecosystem that began as a Web3 gaming guild platform and now describes itself as a "Human-Agentic OS Where Life, AI, and Data Converge." In plain terms, it wants to capture what people do across games and apps, turn that activity into structured data the user retains a claim on, and use that data to train and run AI agents that act on the user's behalf.
ZENT is the ecosystem token. Its primary deployment is an ERC-20 on Ethereum at 0xdBB7a34Bf10169d6d2D0d02A6cbb436cF4381BFa, with additional deployments on Ronin, BNB Smart Chain and Base.
Because Zentry has repositioned twice, a lot of secondary material about it is stale. Anything describing it purely as a gaming guild, or referencing the GF ticker, predates the current product.
Official sources:
The project started as GuildFi, co-founded in July 2021 by Jarindr Thitadilaka and Gazinpoj Techahuasingh. Jarindr Thitadilaka is a software engineer who previously worked at Bitfinex and OmiseGO on Ethereum scaling research. GuildFi operated as a guild and interoperability layer for play-to-earn games, with its GF token on Ethereum.
In April 2024 GuildFi rebranded to Zentry and launched a "Game of Games" framing, positioning itself as a superlayer across gaming worlds rather than a single guild. The token swapped from GF to ZENT at a ratio of 1 GF to 10 ZENT. The migration opened on April 25, 2024, with a four-month window that closed on August 25, 2024. Centralized exchanges converted balances for their users at the same ratio. The old GF contract at 0xaaef88cea01475125522e117bfe45cf32044e238 is retired and should not be traded.
The second repositioning came in August 2025, when the team introduced "Zentry Era" and the Human-Agentic Operating System framing that the site uses today. Gaming did not disappear, but it moved from being the product to being one source of human activity feeding a data and agent stack.
Backers associated with the project across its life include Animoca Brands, Coinbase Ventures, Pantera Capital, DeFiance Capital, YZi Labs (formerly Binance Labs) and DWF Labs.
Zentry describes a vertically integrated stack where each layer feeds the next, rather than a single chain or application.
An application and terminal layer zTerminal is presented as "an agentic terminal for the open web, where human experience meets AI." It is the surface where a user interacts with the system and where agents are given work.
A data layer zData is described as turning human data into user-owned, meta-contextual intelligence and domain-specific knowledge for AI systems. The distinguishing claim here is ownership: the activity a user generates is meant to remain attributable to them rather than being absorbed silently.
An agent layer zAI is described as an agentic AI layer powering a "playable agent society," where agents evolve autonomously and alongside humans.
The intended loop is that applications produce human activity, that activity refines data, refined data improves agents, and better agents make the applications more useful. Whether the loop closes in practice is the open question, and Zentry's own material presents it as a direction rather than a finished system.
The official site sets out three roles for ZENT: governance participation, access to economic opportunity within the ecosystem including protocol rewards, and exposure to ecosystem growth.
This is a thinner and more general utility description than many infrastructure tokens publish, and it is worth stating plainly rather than dressing up. As of the current documentation, ZENT is positioned mainly as a governance and participation asset across Zentry's products rather than as a metered payment token with a published fee schedule. Readers evaluating the token should check the whitepaper for the latest mechanics, because this is exactly the kind of detail that changes as products ship.
Marketing supply figures and contract behavior are separate things, and for ZENT they diverge in a way holders should know about.
The Ethereum ZENT contract uses role-based access control, not simple ownership. It defines MINTER_ROLE and DEFAULT_ADMIN_ROLE, and exposes grantRole, hasRole and mint(address,uint256). Critically, the contract has no cap() function. The commonly quoted 10 billion figure, which comes from the 1-to-10 conversion of the original 1 billion GF supply, is a policy and accounting number, not a ceiling the token enforces. A holder of the minter role can mint beyond it unless that role has been revoked.
The contract does implement burn and burnFrom, and total supply reads below the 10 billion migration figure, which is consistent with tokens having been permanently destroyed. So the burn side of the story is real and verifiable, unlike many tokens that describe burns while their supply never moves.
The contract is not deployed behind an EIP-1967 upgradeable proxy, so the logic itself cannot be swapped. It also supports permit, allowing gasless approvals by signature.
Anyone underwriting a long-term position should verify on chain which addresses currently hold the minter and admin roles, since that is the control that matters here.
Zentry's more unusual choice is that it did not abandon its user base when it pivoted. It carried a gaming audience, which produces a continuous stream of behavioral data, into an AI and data thesis where that stream is the raw input. Many AI data projects have to buy or bootstrap an audience; Zentry started with one.
The counterweight is credibility. Two repositionings in roughly eighteen months, from guild to gaming superlayer to human-agentic operating system, is a lot of narrative movement, and each shift resets the question of whether the product will actually be delivered.
Compared with gaming guild tokens, Zentry is no longer competing on scholarship programs or asset lending; those were the GuildFi model. Compared with gaming-focused chains and publishers, Zentry is not running its own settlement layer, and instead deploys its token across several existing chains. Compared with pure AI data networks, Zentry's differentiator is that it owns consumer-facing applications generating the data rather than sourcing it from an open contributor market.
ZENT is a token, not a network, so it inherits the security of whichever chain a given deployment sits on: Ethereum, Ronin, BNB Smart Chain or Base. The token contract's own risk surface is the role system described above, where minting and administrative control depend on key management rather than on protocol rules.
Cross-chain deployments add bridge and custody risk. Holding the same ticker on four chains means trusting whatever mechanism keeps those balances consistent, which is a separate trust assumption from the chains themselves.
Zentry is a useful case study in whether a Web3 consumer audience can be converted into an AI data and agent business. The data ownership question it raises, namely who controls and profits from the behavioral exhaust of everyday app usage, is one of the more substantial questions in the space. The execution risk is equally substantial, and the honest summary is that the thesis is interesting and the delivery is unfinished.
ZENT trades on centralized exchanges and on decentralized venues across its supported chains. Confirm the contract address for the specific chain you are trading on, since the addresses differ between Ethereum, Ronin, BNB Smart Chain and Base, and the retired GF contract still exists on chain.
ZENT has been available on venues including:
Listings and regional availability change, so verify with the exchange directly.
ZENT can be held:
Always add the token by its verified contract address for the chain you are using, and double-check the network before sending, because sending an Ethereum-deployment ZENT to a Base or Ronin address will not be recoverable.
