Highstreet is a metaverse and MMORPG built around shopping, where real-world and crypto brands sell items inside a game world, and HIGH is its on-chain currency. Players explore Highstreet World, buy virtual homes, and craft in-game gear fused with branded cosmetics into NFTs. It matters because it takes a commerce-first approach to play-to-earn: according to its whitepaper, players cannot farm HIGH by playing, which is meant to avoid the inflation spiral that hit earlier dual-token games.
