Artrade is a Solana-based marketplace that sells authenticated physical luxury goods and art, such as watches, gold and collectibles, to holders of its ATR token at a discount. ATR is the currency for buying items and the key to staking plans that unlock discounts of 20 to 40 percent. It matters as a working example of a real-world-asset marketplace where a token has direct consumer utility rather than purely financial use.
Artrade describes itself as a "crypto private sales club for art & luxury items", based in Paris and operating since 2021 (official site). The company started as an NFT app for creators and collectors and later refocused on physical real-world assets.
Items are sourced through partners such as Gold Union, Chrono24 certified dealers and official brand websites. According to the lightpaper, each piece includes its original invoice and certificate of authenticity, and purchases carry a 30-day return policy.
Artrade is operated by a company based in Paris that has been active since 2021. The team and partners chapter of the lightpaper could not be opened when this page was written, so individual founders are not listed here.
The published roadmap records several milestones:
The main sales format is a raffle. An item is listed at a fixed ATR price, and each participant's staking plan sets their discount. Participants deposit their discounted entry into an on-chain vault during a 24-hour window. A winner is chosen with verifiable randomness from Switchboard. Losers are refunded 100 percent of their ATR and also receive a share of the sale's redistribution.
The winner's ATR is split three ways: 50 percent to the community treasury (to buy future items), 40 percent to the staking rewards pool, and 10 percent burned. The treasury sells ATR for fiat to acquire items, and those transactions are visible on chain.
Winners receive an NFT representing the item, which can be resold on Artrade's secondary market before shipping. Trades there use an on-chain escrow and carry a 5 percent fee.
According to the lightpaper, ATR is:
Staking plans lock ATR for 90 days. The Supporter plan requires 25,000 ATR for a 20 percent discount, Sponsor requires 100,000 ATR for 30 percent, and Ambassador requires 250,000 ATR for 40 percent. Stakers also receive a base reward rate plus renewal bonuses, funded by a staking reserve that received 6.5 percent of the initial supply.
ATR is an SPL token on Solana at ATRLuHph8dxnPny4WSNW7fxkhbeivBrtWbY6BfB4xpLj. The initial total supply was 1.8 billion ATR, with 9 decimals, and the token is not mintable. Supply falls through the 10 percent raffle burn and DAO-voted burns; one community vote burned 91.7 million ATR, and the lightpaper reports 539.6 million ATR burned in total as of October 2, 2025.
Artrade's token demand comes from consumers wanting a physical item at a discount, not from yield alone. The raffle design means only the winner's ATR is spent, while losing entries are refunded, and the lightpaper argues that entries from many participants create more buying demand for ATR than the treasury's selling to source one item.
Artrade is an application on Solana, not a blockchain. Compared with related projects:
ATR relies on Solana's proof-of-stake network. Raffle randomness uses Switchboard, secondary sales use escrow contracts, and the lightpaper states that staked funds are held in on-chain multi-signature wallets. The base contract repository is public. Physical items rely on off-chain custody, shipping and authentication by Artrade and its partners.
Artrade shows one practical route for real-world assets on chain: using a token as a membership and payment rail for real goods, with transparent treasury flows and burns tied to actual sales.
The lightpaper lists Raydium and Jupiter as decentralized venues, MEXC, Gate.io and Bitpanda as centralized exchanges, and Deskoin for credit card purchases.
MEXC, Gate.io and Bitpanda are named in the official lightpaper.
ATR can be stored in Solana wallets such as Phantom, Solflare or Backpack, or on a hardware wallet that supports Solana SPL tokens. Staking for Artrade benefits happens through the Artrade app.
