This event predicts whether any country will formally initiate the process to become a member of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) at any time between January 1, 2026 and December 31, 2026 (inclusive).
- The Primary Designated Source (PDS) will be official statements by the CSTO or the applicant country confirming the initiation of accession procedures.
- If any country officially declares during this period that it has begun the formal process to join the CSTO, this market will resolve to "Yes".
- Otherwise, it will resolve to "No".
- Expressions of interest or informal discussions without formal initiation will not count.
- If official statements are ambiguous, the Secondary Confirmation Mechanism (SCM) will rely on consistent reporting from major international news organizations.
