Beldex is a privacy-focused Layer 1 blockchain with a set of applications built on it. The chain descends from the Monero and CryptoNote lineage, so transactions are confidential by default, and a collateralized master node layer secures the network while hosting services beyond payments. BDX pays fees, backs master nodes and buys services inside the ecosystem's apps.
Official resources:
The project describes itself as launched in 2018, and the disclaimer on its website names Beldex International Inc. as the company overseeing the ecosystem. Beyond that, the founding team is not identified in Beldex's official documentation or website. Third-party profiles circulate names, but Beldex's own materials do not confirm them. The chain began on proof of work and has been moving toward proof of stake.
Beldex inherits transaction privacy from the CryptoNote family, and its hashing algorithm is recorded as CryptoNight. Project materials describe stealth addresses, which generate a one-time destination per payment so a published address cannot be linked to on-chain activity, and RingCT, which conceals amounts.
Above that sits the master node layer. Operators lock 10,000 BDX to register a node, and a deregistered node has its collateral held for 30 days. Master nodes serve as remote nodes for light clients, which documentation frames as a privacy property: collateral caps how many nodes one party can afford, so it is harder for a single operator to observe user IP addresses.
BDX pays transaction fees and is the collateral asset for master nodes, where the documented requirement is 10,000 BDX per node and operators earn block rewards for validating and relaying transactions. It also pays for BelNet access and BNS registrations. A wrapped BEP-20 version on BNB Chain lets BDX be used where the native chain is unsupported, and documentation notes the staking amount may change with future emissions.
Most privacy coins stop at the payment layer. Beldex uses its incentivized node layer as general infrastructure, so the same collateralized operators that secure the chain also carry encrypted messages and route traffic. That extends the privacy claim to metadata such as IP addresses, and pays for relays through block rewards, which addresses the usual failure mode of privacy networks.
Against Monero, Beldex shares the privacy primitives but adds a staked service layer, consumer applications and a move away from pure proof of work. Against Zcash, which offers both shielded and transparent transactions, Beldex applies ring-based confidentiality by default with no transparent mode. Against mixnet projects, it bundles routing with its own settlement chain.
The practical uses are confidential payments where sender, receiver and amount should not be publicly linkable, private messaging through BChat, private browsing and routing through BelNet, and readable identities through BNS. Holders with enough balance can register a master node.
Consensus security comes from the chain's validation layer plus the economic weight of master node collateral, since misbehavior risks the locked stake and the reward stream. Transaction privacy rests on primitives inherited from the CryptoNote design, and the node software is open source, allowing independent review.
Privacy assets face persistent regulatory pressure, and exchanges in several jurisdictions have delisted comparable coins, which can affect liquidity without warning. Ring-based privacy is strong but not absolute: research on CryptoNote-style chains shows transaction graph heuristics can weaken anonymity. App security depends on implementation quality outsiders cannot easily verify, and the unidentified team reduces accountability.
Financial privacy and communications privacy are usually pursued by separate projects with separate incentives, and both struggle for funding. Beldex is one of the few attempts to pay for both from the same staked node layer.
BDX is listed on centralized exchanges including KuCoin, Gate, MEXC, CoinEx, BingX and BloFin. The wrapped BEP-20 version trades on BNB Chain decentralized exchanges such as PancakeSwap. Liquidity for privacy assets varies by jurisdiction, so verify availability and the contract address first.
Native BDX should be held in an official Beldex wallet, available as desktop, mobile and command line clients, since third-party wallets rarely support CryptoNote-style chains. Documentation covers subaddresses, integrated addresses, multisig setups and seed restoration. Running a master node means locking collateral and keeping a server online.
