ZEROBASE is a decentralized zero-knowledge proving network. Rather than run sensitive computation openly on a public blockchain, it executes that work off chain inside hardware-isolated trusted execution environments (TEEs), then publishes a zero-knowledge proof that on-chain contracts can check. Anyone can verify the result without the inputs, model, or trading strategy becoming public.
ZBT is the network's utility token, used to access proving services, reward the nodes that route and generate proofs, and signal in governance. It is an ERC-20 token deployed on Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, and Base at the same contract address on each network.

ZEROBASE's documentation and whitepaper describe the protocol in technical terms and do not name founders, so individual attribution is better left unconfirmed than guessed at.
The funding history is clearer. The project announced a raise of roughly $5 million in October 2024 to build its prover network, with reported participation from YZi Labs (previously Binance Labs), Lightspeed Faction, dao5, and others. ZBT reached broad distribution in October 2025 through a Binance HODLer Airdrop and listing, and engineering work is published under the ZeroBase-Pro organization on GitHub.
The whitepaper describes a trust-minimized execution network of three cooperating layers.
Trusted execution layer Computation runs inside hardware enclaves such as AMD SEV-SNP, Intel TDX, or Arm CCA. Every node must present a hardware-signed remote attestation proving its environment is genuine, and inputs are decrypted only inside the enclave, never exposed to the machine's operator.
Zero-knowledge proof layer Facts about that execution become cryptographic proofs. The project ships reusable circuit templates for range proofs, validity proofs, state transitions, and Merkle inclusion, targeting Groth16, PLONK, and STARKs. Custom circuits are supported through Circom and gnark.
Proof mediation layer (Proof Mesh) This layer standardizes proof formats and versions so contracts consume them through one interface, and supports aggregation, recursion, and cross-protocol invocation so one application can reuse another's proof.
Underneath sits a routing network of Hub nodes and Worker (proving) nodes using Kademlia-style XOR routing. Workers bind to their nearest Hub, and if a Hub fails, other Hubs take over its workers.
ZBT has a fixed supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens and is described in the whitepaper as non-inflationary. Documented allocation is 43.75% to node staking rewards, 20% to team and advisors, 15% to an ecosystem fund, 11.25% to early investors, 8% to airdrop and early adopters, and 2% to liquidity, with multi-year vesting on team and investor tranches.
ZBT is used to:
The whitepaper is explicit that ZBT confers no ownership or right to protocol income. Revenue routing is 20% to the ZEROBASE Foundation, with the rest flowing to a DAO treasury holders can vote to deploy, including buybacks that burn the repurchased tokens. Access to certain yield products has also been gated behind ZBT burns. These mechanics are governed and can change.
The distinguishing choice is combining TEEs and zero-knowledge proofs rather than picking one. Enclaves alone place trust in a chip vendor; proofs alone are slow and costly for heavy computation. ZEROBASE uses the enclave for confidentiality and throughput and the proof for public verifiability, so an observer need not trust the operator to accept a result.
Collateral is the second element. The whitepaper specifies a minimum stablecoin collateral of $1,000,000 per proving node, while Hub nodes require none, a deliberately high bar aimed at professional operators rather than at node count.
Unlike privacy-focused chains, ZEROBASE is not a settlement layer. It has no chain of its own; it produces proofs that existing chains verify, closer to a service layer than a Layer 1.
Unlike rollup proving markets, which mostly prove one chain's state transitions, ZEROBASE targets broader statements: risk bounds on a strategy, correctness of a model inference, or attestations about off-chain resources. And unlike pure TEE platforms, on-chain verification reduces reliance on the hardware vendor's attestation as the final word.
Hardware attestation is required before a node takes work, and the enclave boundary keeps inputs hidden from the operator. Proof soundness comes from the underlying proving systems, and circuit templates are audited before use. Proof packages carry task identifiers and timestamps to resist replay and chain prior output hashes as public inputs, so tampering is detectable. The whitepaper is unusually direct about network threats, naming Sybil, eclipse, churn, and adversarial routing attacks and the routing policies meant to blunt each. Node collateral is the economic backstop for proving-node misbehavior.
Much valuable activity, including quantitative strategies, model inference, and identity checks, cannot run transparently on a public chain without leaking exactly what makes it valuable. Proving a result was computed correctly without publishing the inputs is a useful primitive far beyond any single application, and ZEROBASE is a concrete attempt to productize it.
ZBT trades on centralized exchanges and on decentralized venues across the networks where its contract is deployed. Listings and access rules vary by jurisdiction and change over time.
ZBT has been listed on venues including:
Pairs are commonly quoted against USDT.
Because the same contract address is deployed on Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, and Base, it is easy to send on the wrong network. Confirm which chain a deposit address expects before sending.
