Block Street is a DeFi infrastructure project built around tokenized real-world assets, specifically tokenized equities. It calls itself a unified liquidity layer for on-chain capital markets: rather than another trading venue, it aims to be the plumbing connecting issuers of tokenized stocks, market makers, and the applications that use those assets as collateral.
It ships two protocols. Aqua is a cross-protocol liquidity network that aggregates quotes and routes execution. Everst is a pooled lending protocol where tokenized stocks and stablecoins can be supplied, borrowed against, and liquidated. BSB is the ecosystem token.

Block Street's documentation describes the founding team collectively, as engineers and operators from hedge funds, technology companies, and DeFi, without naming individuals. Treat third-party attributions with caution.
The product history is clearer. Block Street began as a lending protocol for tokenized assets, then repositioned around infrastructure, adding Aqua as a routing layer above the original design. After an extended testnet and points campaign, its token generation event took place on March 4, 2026, followed by exchange listings. Named partners include BNB Chain, Ondo, Agora, Turtle, and Backpack.
The architecture splits between off-chain price discovery and on-chain execution and risk.
Quote aggregation off chain Aqua runs a request-for-quote engine that collects prices from issuers and market makers, picks the best execution, and signs the quote using EIP-712.
On-chain verification and routing An upgradeable Manager contract verifies that signature, routes to the right executor, and enforces access controls. A Token Registry maps symbols to token contracts and issuers, letting more than one issuer list the same symbol, and an Executor Registry maps each issuer to its adapter.
Pooled lending on Everst Each supported asset has a liquidity pool. Suppliers receive BTokens (bUSDT, bAAPL, bTSLA and so on) that accrue interest through a rising exchange rate rather than through rebasing, and borrowers draw against over-collateralized positions. Rates float with utilization, with a kink around 80% where they rise sharply to protect withdrawal liquidity, and collateral factors are tiered by risk.
Hybrid liquidation Rather than a single on-chain auction, a private off-chain auction with broker-dealer and market-maker participation runs first, with a public on-chain fallback if it fails. The goal is to hold collateral health during volatility and support higher loan-to-value ratios.
BSB has a fixed supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens, issued on Ethereum and BNB Chain. Published allocation is roughly 22.1% to community incentives, 20.6% to ecosystem partners, 17.3% to team and advisors, 15.7% to core investors, 10.65% to exchanges and marketing, and the remainder to treasury, liquidity, and strategic reserves, with multi-year linear unlocks and one-year cliffs on the team and investor tranches.
The staking design is unusual. Users stake BSB into one shared pool, locked until a single global unlock date set at program launch plus 365 days, with no early exit. Voting weight starts at 1x and grows linearly with time staked to a 4x cap at one year; topping up snapshots existing weight, so adding stake does not reset accrued time.
BSB then provides:
Rewards are recorded at epoch finalization but become claimable only after the global unlock date.
The clearest differentiator is treating tokenized equities as first-class collateral rather than a trading novelty. Supplying tokenized AAPL or TSLA and borrowing stablecoins against it is the core loop, and the rate and collateral-factor tables are built for it.
The second is the hybrid liquidity engine. Pairing a private off-chain RFQ auction with an on-chain fallback imports traditional market microstructure rather than relying on automated market makers, which the project's own analysis blames for wide spreads and persistent tracking error against net asset value.
Compared with general-purpose money markets, the asset set and risk model differ. Tokenized equities carry market hours, corporate actions, and issuer-level transfer restrictions that crypto collateral does not, and the oracle and liquidation design must handle that.
Block Street is also not an issuer. It aggregates several and lets multiple issuers list the same symbol, positioning itself as neutral infrastructure that other protocols call rather than as a rival for issuance mandates or for end users.
Security relies on over-collateralization, oracle quality, and audited contracts. Borrowing power is computed per asset from tiered collateral factors, and a health factor drives liquidation. Contracts are upgradeable with role-based access control, alongside multi-signature governance, time locks, and emergency pause mechanisms. Published audits include SlowMist on the Aqua executor and security contracts (October 2025, 22 findings including 3 high), Binenet on the BNB Chain contracts (October 2025, all findings reported fixed), and CertiK on Everst (August 2025).
Tokenized equities remain fragmented across issuers, chains, and venues, which shows up as wide spreads and dislocations against the underlying and keeps the asset class from being useful beyond simple spot exposure. Whether or not Block Street becomes the standard layer, the problem it targets, making tokenized real-world assets borrowable, shortable, and composable, is a consequential one.
BSB trades on centralized exchanges and on decentralized venues across the networks where it is deployed. Availability and eligibility differ by venue and jurisdiction.
Since its March 2026 launch, BSB has been available on venues including:
Pairs are commonly quoted against USDT.
BSB uses a different contract address on each network. Confirm both the chain and the exact address before depositing or adding the token manually.
