Bitgert is a crypto project that started life as a BEP20 token named Bitrise Token on BNB Chain and later launched its own EVM compatible network, Brise Chain. BRISE is the ticker for both sides of that history: the original token contract on BNB Chain and the native gas coin of Brise Chain. The listing slug "bitrise-token" comes from the original name, which the deployed contract still carries.
The project markets itself around very high throughput and near zero transaction fees. Anyone researching BRISE should separate two things: what the chain and the contract actually do, which is verifiable, and what the marketing claims, which in several places is not matched by what the network currently reports about itself.

Bitgert does not name a founder or an engineering team on its website or in its whitepaper. The project is presented as a "crypto engineering organization" rather than as the work of identified individuals. Treat founder attribution as undocumented rather than assuming any particular name.

Consensus and block production The documentation describes a Proof of Authority system in which bonded validator candidates produce blocks, with double sign detection and slashing logic. This is the same general design family as other BNB Chain style networks.
EVM compatibility Because the chain runs the Ethereum Virtual Machine, Solidity contracts, MetaMask and standard Ethereum tooling work after a network configuration change. The chain uses BRC20 as its token standard, which the docs describe as an extension of ERC-20 with extra interfaces such as getOwner and decimals.
Native gas BRISE is the gas coin on Brise Chain. A live read on September 12, 2026 returned chain ID 32520 and an average block interval of about 15 seconds, which matches the figure the project publishes.
The 2021 whitepaper states that 1,000,000,000,000,000 BRISE were minted at launch and allocated 50 percent to an initial burn, 38 percent to liquidity, 7 percent to future development and marketing, and 5 percent to the development team.
The clearest differentiator is cost. A cheap EVM chain with a very large block gas limit lets applications do things that would be uneconomic on a mainnet, and Bitgert has built an unusually broad consumer product surface around that single idea.
Compared with other low fee EVM networks, Brise Chain is distinguished less by its architecture, which is conventional, than by its origin. Most alternative Layer 1 networks launched a chain and then issued a token. Bitgert did the reverse, which leaves BRISE with two live representations and a swap process between them. That is a practical detail holders of the BNB Chain version need to understand before assuming the two are interchangeable.
Security depends on the validator set of a Proof of Authority chain, on the slashing rules described in the documentation, and on the quality of the bridges connecting Brise Chain to larger networks. Because the block signer set is smaller and more permissioned than on a large public Proof of Stake chain, trust is concentrated rather than broadly distributed.
The BNB Chain contract is a separate security question. Reading it directly on September 12, 2026 shows that ownership has not been renounced, and the owner retains functions including setBuyBackEnabled, setBuyBackFee, setMarketingWallet, setMaxSellTxAMount and addToBlackList. Those are real powers, not theoretical ones.
Bitgert is a useful case study in reading a project at the contract level rather than the marketing level. It has a real chain that produces blocks, a real token with a verifiable history, and a set of claims that a few minutes of direct checking will either support or qualify.
