Qkacoin is a meme coin on Solana themed on the quokka, the small Australian marsupial that became an internet fixture in the mid-2010s under the label "the world's happiest animal." QKA is the token, it has no business model, no protocol and no revenue, and the project says so itself. The official site carries the line that QKA "is a meme coin with no intrinsic value or promise of financial return."
What makes it worth documenting carefully is that its central claims are the kind that can be checked on chain rather than taken on trust. The site advertises a fixed supply, zero freeze authority and zero future issuance. A direct read of the mint account in September 2026 confirms all three, which is a better position than many meme tokens are in.
Official sources:
This is genuinely undocumented. The project publishes no team page, no founder names, no company entity and no dated launch announcement. The site describes the token in the first person plural as the quokkas themselves and states that it is "a smiley Solana community coin born from XMC mining," but it does not explain that origin further or provide verifiable detail behind it.
There is also no whitepaper, no roadmap, no tokenomics schedule and no published distribution breakdown. For an asset of this type that absence is normal rather than suspicious, but it should be stated plainly: nothing is known about who controls the project beyond the on-chain authority keys.
There is no mechanism to describe beyond the token itself. QKA is a standard fungible token on Solana with no staking, no burn schedule, no fee redistribution, no treasury and no governance. It transfers, and that is the whole of it.
The one technical detail that matters practically is which token program it uses. QKA is issued under the SPL Token-2022 program, not the original SPL Token program. Its mint account carries two Token-2022 extensions: a metadata pointer and token metadata stored at the mint address itself, rather than in a separate metadata account. That choice affects which wallets, explorers and trading venues display and route the token correctly, and it is the single most useful thing for a holder to know before interacting with it.
A live read of the mint account mtQ5jWgCqrgBiSut29b4HV19RkMBGA6vidwTMqhNmyy on September 11, 2026 returned the following:
Mint authority is null. No further QKA can ever be created. The supply cannot increase, and this is enforced by the chain rather than by a promise.
Freeze authority is null. No party can freeze a holder's token account. Transfers cannot be blocked at the mint level.
Supply is fixed at 31,668,128.669426011 QKA with 9 decimal places. This matches the figure the project publishes, and since minting is disabled it can only ever fall, and only if individual holders choose to burn their own tokens. No protocol burn mechanism exists, so treating supply as effectively static is the correct assumption.
The metadata update authority is still set.
The key QKA83cGdYNaXk1aj9MsWzxan2FYScuM2bM97pzVWbtH remains the metadata pointer authority and metadata update authority. It cannot mint, freeze or move anyone's tokens, but it can change the token's on-chain name, symbol and metadata URI. This is a real if limited residual control and is worth knowing.
One discrepancy is worth flagging: some third-party listings record this token with 7 decimals. The mint account itself reports 9. Where a catalog and the chain disagree, the chain is correct, and any tool that formats balances using the wrong figure will display them off by a factor of one hundred.
There is no application, no ecosystem, no partner integrations and no developer documentation. That is an accurate description rather than a criticism of a meme asset.
Two things distinguish it from a typical meme launch. The supply is a deliberately odd, non-round number, 31,668,128.669426011, rather than the usual one billion or one trillion. More substantively, both dangerous mint-level authorities were actually revoked, removing the two most common rug vectors on Solana: silent reissuance and account freezing. That is a low bar, and clearing it does not make the token a good investment, but plenty of tokens make the same claims in marketing copy without the chain state backing them up. Here it does.
Against the larger Solana meme assets such as Bonk or Dogwifhat, QKA is far smaller, with correspondingly thinner liquidity, fewer venues and less market depth. Those projects have larger holder bases, broader exchange support and, in Bonk's case, a set of ecosystem integrations. QKA has none of that.
Against Dogecoin, the comparison is structural rather than one of scale. Dogecoin is its own proof-of-work Layer 1 with an uncapped, continuously issued supply secured by miners. QKA is a token on someone else's chain with a fixed supply and no security model of its own beyond Solana's.
Realistically there is one: speculation and community participation. The token can be transferred, traded and held. It grants no governance rights, no fee share, no access to a product and no claim on anything. The project's stated theme is affection for the quokka and the "positivity" associated with it, but no charitable mechanism or conservation funding commitment is published on the site.
QKA inherits Solana's security entirely. It has no validators, no consensus and no separate security budget. What the token adds on its own account is the removal of mint and freeze authorities, which limits what any insider can do to holders at the token level.
The remaining centralization to be aware of is the metadata authority described above, plus whatever concentration exists in the distribution of the fixed supply. Since no allocation breakdown is published, holder concentration has to be assessed by reading the largest accounts on a Solana explorer rather than from any project disclosure.
Its interest is mostly as a clean example of what verification looks like. A reader who has learned to check three fields on a Solana mint account, mint authority, freeze authority and decimals, can assess a large share of token-level rug risk in under a minute, and can also catch catalog errors such as the decimals mismatch here. Qkacoin happens to pass those checks. That is a fact about its contract, not a forecast about its price.
The project's own site links to a listing on Gate against USDT. QKA is also tradable on Solana decentralized exchanges and aggregators, subject to the Token-2022 caveat, since not every routing venue supports that program equally well. Before trading, confirm the mint address matches mtQ5jWgCqrgBiSut29b4HV19RkMBGA6vidwTMqhNmyy exactly, because ticker collisions and copycat mints are common on Solana.
Any Solana wallet with Token-2022 support will hold QKA, including Phantom and Solflare, with a Ledger hardware device usable through them for key storage. If the token does not appear after a transfer, check that the wallet supports Token-2022 rather than assuming the transfer failed, and verify the balance on a block explorer against the mint address. Self-custody is the appropriate default for an asset of this type, since exchange support is limited and could change.
