MemeCore is an EVM-compatible layer-1 blockchain built specifically for meme tokens and their communities. Its stated goal, which the project calls Meme 2.0, is to reward measurable participation rather than pure speculation. M is the native asset: it pays gas, secures the chain through staking, and carries governance rights. What separates MemeCore from a general-purpose chain is that its consensus and rewards treat meme token activity as a first-class input.

MemeCore is developed under the MemeCore Foundation, whose documentation carries no founder biographies. Exchange research pages commonly name Jun Ahn as chief executive, but that does not appear in primary documentation, so treat it as secondary reporting. The mainnet went live in 2025, with a broader public launch push later that year.
MemeCore runs a proof-of-stake style network the project calls Proof of Meme. Validators must self-stake seven million M to register, and the active set is the top seven by total stake, recalculated every ten blocks, so it rotates with delegation flows. Blocks come roughly every seven seconds with a reward of thirty M, a parameter the project says community consensus can change. The chain uses ID 4352 and standard EVM tooling. Delegators can stake M or whitelisted meme tokens, letting a token's community direct security and rewards using the token they already hold.
M pays transaction fees, is the validator self-stake, is the primary delegation asset, and carries governance rights. Validators also earn MRC-20 tokens generated on the network alongside M. Documentation states five billion M at the token generation event and a maximum of ten billion, the rest issued through block rewards. Allocation is fifty-eight percent community, fifteen percent foundation, thirteen percent core contributors and twelve percent investors.
Most meme tokens are deployed onto chains indifferent to them. MemeCore inverts that: consensus is designed around meme token activity, those tokens can be staked for security, and each carries a reserve funding its own community rewards. The Meme Vault turns whether a community actually did anything into an on-chain, rewardable measurement rather than a marketing claim.
Dogecoin and its derivatives are single assets, not platforms. Shiba Inu built an ecosystem around one brand. Solana and BNB Chain host enormous meme token activity yet give those tokens no protocol-level standing. MemeCore is narrower: a chain whose economics assume meme tokens are the primary workload. That focus is also its constraint, since it competes for launches against chains with far deeper liquidity.
Security comes from staked value under Proof of Meme. Validators post a substantial self-stake, and delegated stake decides which are active. Node software is open source, and EVM compatibility means the chain inherits the known properties, and pitfalls, of Solidity contracts.
Meme tokens are a durable share of crypto activity, and most of it produces value for chains that did nothing to earn it. MemeCore tests whether a chain can capture that flow by designing for it, and whether contribution can be measured on-chain well enough to reward without being gamed.
M is listed on centralized exchanges including Binance Alpha, Bitget and Kraken, and trades on decentralized exchanges on BNB Chain and on MemeCore itself. Coverage differs by region.
M is held natively by adding chain ID 4352 to any EVM wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby, which also allows delegation. The BNB Chain representation is a standard BEP-20 held in the same wallets. Be deliberate about which version you hold, since the two are different assets on different networks.
