Nexera is a blockchain infrastructure provider focused on bringing real-world assets (RWAs) on-chain, offering tokenization, compliance, staking and fractionalization tools for institutions and developers. It is the project formerly known as AllianceBlock, and NXRA is its utility token, used for staking, rewards, reputation and governance. Nexera is also the team behind ERC-7208, a proposed Ethereum standard for separating on-chain data from token logic, which gives it a technical footprint beyond its own products.
Nexera's website describes it as infrastructure that "connects the real and digital economies" and lists products including the Nexera Standard (ERC-7208), a token market infrastructure framework, an interoperability protocol, Nexera ID for self-sovereign identity, and compliance tooling. The developer documentation groups the current product set as:
The documentation's welcome page also refers to a "Nexera chain", so parts of the stack are presented as a dedicated network for real-world assets.
Nexera is the continuation of AllianceBlock. On February 1, 2023, the lending protocol BonqDAO was exploited; the Nexera Foundation's migration announcement, as reproduced by CoinCarp, states that the attacker gained access to ALBT troves on BonqDAO, where around 113 million ALBT tokens were illegally accessed. In response, the team created a new token, AllianceBlock Nexera (NXRA), to replace ALBT. The same announcement says ALBT swapped into NXRA at a 1:1 ratio, that the legacy ALBT token was fully deprecated, and that NXRA launched on Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Avalanche, Polygon and Energy Web Chain with the same contract address on each. The project has since adopted Nexera as its main brand.

ERC-7208 data containers The Nexera Standard separates where data is stored (On-chain Data Containers) from the logic that reads and writes it. An asset's data can then be exposed through different token interfaces, for example as ERC-1155 fractions that also appear as ERC-20 tokens for AMM liquidity.
Diamond-based protocols The Staking Protocol and Fraction Protocol are built from "facets" following the Diamond standard (EIP-2535). Administrators pick the facets they need to deploy a platform with specific rules.
Compliance layer Nexera ID and ComPilot let issuers restrict who can interact with a platform based on identity and compliance checks, which is necessary for many regulated assets.

The 2023 migration announcement listed a maximum supply of 850 million NXRA. A read of the Ethereum contract's total supply (our own check, not a project statement) returns roughly 1.35 billion tokens on that chain alone, which differs from that figure; the reason is not documented in the sources we reviewed, so readers should check Nexera's current documentation for the up-to-date token model. Many RWA projects focus on a single asset class or a single issuance platform. Nexera's distinctive contribution is at the standards level: ERC-7208 aims to make tokenized assets portable across token standards and chains. It pairs that with modular staking, fractionalization and compliance tools, so issuers can combine pieces rather than build from scratch.
NXRA inherits the security of the chains it is deployed on. Nexera's protocols rely on smart contracts organized with the Diamond standard, and access control is managed through dedicated facets and roles such as administrator, eligible issuer and eligible user. The documentation publishes mainnet, staging and development contract addresses, which lets users verify deployments on explorers such as Etherscan.
Tokenizing real-world assets needs more than a token contract: it needs identity, compliance, interoperability and distribution. Nexera tries to provide those building blocks, and its ERC-7208 work gives it influence on how RWA tokens may be structured on Ethereum more broadly.
