Holding ACM lets supporters vote in official club polls, climb in-app leaderboards and compete for rewards such as match experiences and merchandise. It matters as one of the better-known examples of a real sports brand using a blockchain token for fan engagement, but it is an engagement product, not a share in the club.
Socios.com describes $ACM as "the official Fan Token of the rossonero" and says AC Milan fan tokens "allow fans to impact their side and get rewarded for their loyalty." Fan tokens in general are defined by Socios as "digital assets for the world's biggest sports teams," held in the Socios.com Wallet and tradable on supported third-party platforms.
Technically, ACM is a CAP-20 token on Chiliz Chain, the sports-focused blockchain run by the Chiliz group. CAP-20 is Chiliz Chain's equivalent of the ERC-20 standard.
