Unicorn Fart Dust is a Solana memecoin. It has no protocol, no product, no treasury and no roadmap, and it does not claim to have any. The name is the joke: the creator used "unicorn fart dust" as his dismissive phrase for assets he considered backed by nothing, then launched a token with that name to see whether the joke would trade.
The asset that matters here is a single SPL token mint on Solana: eL5fUxj2J4CiQsmW85k5FG9DvuQjjUoBHoQBi2Kpump. That mint address, not the ticker and not the name, is the only reliable way to identify UFD. The trailing "pump" is the signature of a token created through the pump.fun launchpad.
Verify on-chain:
UFD was launched through pump.fun on 17 December 2024, a date recoverable from the launchpad's own record of the mint. The launch description, written by the creator and preserved with the token's metadata, is unusually direct:
"I am a 54 year old (almost) boomer, 1st time crypto buyer and started this Meme Coin in 3 hours... I was taught that silver and gold are the only forms of real money, everything else is Unicorn Fart Dust... Disclaimer: Not investment advice: The Unicorn Fart Dust Meme Coin is backed by nothing but Unicorn Fart Dust."
The creator has been widely reported as a precious-metals-oriented YouTuber who launched the token as satire of the memecoin wave, and the launch metadata links a YouTube channel documenting the experiment along with the X account @basementron and a Telegram announcements channel. Unlike most memecoins, the origin story is not a marketing narrative bolted on afterward: it is the text the creator attached to the mint at launch.
Trading moved from the pump.fun bonding curve to a Raydium pool once the launch completed, which is the standard path for tokens launched that way.
There is very little machinery to explain, and that is the accurate description rather than an omission.
It is a standard SPL token UFD is an ordinary token on Solana's classic SPL Token program, with 6 decimals. It has no custom program, no staking contract and no fee-on-transfer logic.
Launch used a bonding curve pump.fun launches sell into an automated bonding curve, and when the curve completes, liquidity migrates to a decentralized exchange pool. UFD's Raydium pool is where most on-chain trading happens.
Price comes only from trading There is no yield, no buyback funded by revenue and no mechanism that redistributes anything to holders. Every movement is secondary-market demand.
Supply is fixed by the absence of an authority A live read of the mint account on 2026-09-11 returned mintAuthority: null and freezeAuthority: null, with a total supply just under one billion units. Because the mint authority is null, no new UFD can ever be created.
UFD has no utility, and the page would be dishonest if it invented one. It confers no governance rights, no revenue share, no access to software and no claim on anything. It is a transferable unit on Solana whose entire purpose is cultural and speculative.
Two on-chain properties are still worth knowing, because they are the properties memecoin marketing most often misstates and these were checked directly:
Together those two null authorities are the meaningful thing this token has, and they are verifiable in one RPC call rather than taken on trust. Note that no burn narrative applies here either: supply sits slightly below the one billion units minted at launch, and there is no ongoing burn mechanism.
Its honesty is the differentiator. Most memecoins dress themselves in a future utility they never ship. UFD's own launch text says it is backed by nothing, disclaims investment advice, and frames the whole thing as an experiment by someone who thinks most of crypto is worthless. The satire is the product.
Structurally, the token is also unusually clean for its category: authorities revoked, classic SPL program, no transfer hooks, no upgradeable wrapper.
Compared with utility tokens there is no comparison to draw: UFD is not competing on technology, throughput or fees.
Compared with other Solana memecoins, UFD differs mainly in provenance. It was created by an outsider to crypto as a critique rather than by an anonymous team optimizing a launch, and that critique sits in the token's own metadata.
Compared with memecoins that retain a live mint or freeze authority, UFD has revoked both, removing two of the most common rug vectors on Solana. That removes specific risks, not the risk of holding a memecoin.
UFD inherits Solana's security. Transactions are confirmed by Solana's validator set and the token uses the audited, widely deployed SPL Token program rather than custom code.
Token-level security comes down to the authority checks above. With mint and freeze authorities both set to null, the issuer cannot dilute holders or freeze accounts. What remains unmanaged is everything social and economic: liquidity depth, concentration of holdings among large wallets, and the behavior of the market itself. A holder should check the current distribution on an explorer rather than assume revoked authorities make a token safe.
UFD matters as a documented data point about how memecoin markets work. A first-time crypto buyer launched a token in a few hours explicitly to argue that such tokens are worthless, and the market bid it up anyway. Whatever conclusion a reader draws from that, the episode is a clean illustration of reflexivity in memecoin trading, and it is one of the rare cases where the creator's intent is recorded on-chain rather than reconstructed afterward.
UFD trades mainly on Solana decentralized exchanges, with Raydium as the primary venue, and is reachable through Solana DEX aggregators. Some smaller centralized exchanges have listed it as well. Availability varies by region and can change without notice.
Listings for a memecoin of this size are limited and unstable. UFD has appeared on smaller venues such as:
Always confirm the listing on the venue itself. For on-chain purchases, match the mint address character for character before swapping.
UFD can be held in any Solana non-custodial wallet such as Phantom or Solflare, behind a hardware wallet paired with Solana-compatible software, or on an exchange account (custodial).
Only Solana addresses can receive UFD. Sending it to an Ethereum, BNB Chain or other non-Solana address will lose the tokens permanently.
