Circle went public on the NYSE on 5 June 2025 after pricing an upsized offering at 31 dollars per share. Technically the token is an ordinary onchain asset secured by whichever network it sits on.
Tokenized equities test whether public blockchains can carry regulated financial instruments rather than only crypto native assets. CRCLX is a useful case because the legal structure is explicit, corporate action handling is specified in advance, and the underlying company is one crypto users already understand.
CRCLX trades on centralized exchanges that have integrated the xStocks line and on decentralized venues across the chains where it is issued. The ecosystem page on the official site lists current exchange, wallet and DeFi integrations.
