Resolution criteria
- This market will resolve to YES if Lionsgate (Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. / Lionsgate Studios) or any of its subsidiaries announces a definitive agreement to acquire a controlling stake (51% or more) of A24, and this acquisition is officially completed.
- This market will resolve to NO if no such acquisition is completed by December 31, 2027 (or another cutoff date specified by the creator), if A24 is acquired by another entity, or if Lionsgate is acquired by another company and ceases to operate as an independent entity capable of making the acquisition.
- Note on the Paramount/Warner Bros. comparison: The prompt compares this potential acquisition to Paramount's purchase of Warner Bros.
- Unless the creator edits this description to add a strict conditional clause, this market resolves purely on whether Lionsgate acquires A24, regardless of the status of the Paramount-WBD merger.
- Sources: Resolution will be determined using official press releases from Lionsgate or A24, or reporting from major trade publications such as Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, Bloomberg, or Deadline.
