Who Founded Zebec Network? (History)

Zebec was founded in 2021 by Sam Thapaliya, though leadership has since changed and Zebec's own team page lists Simon Babakhani as chief executive and a co-founder. Reported investors include Circle, Coinbase Ventures, Solana Ventures, Breyer Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners. The company grew partly by acquisition, adding the payroll platform PayBridge and later School Payroll Services, and in April 2024 it migrated from ZBC to ZBCN at a one to ten ratio, stating that no new supply was introduced.

Zebec writes payment schedules on-chain and settles them continuously, so a recipient's claimable balance grows over time instead of arriving as one transfer.
