UCLA SETI is currently running a citizen science project on zooniverse for classifying promising extraterrestial radio signals in order to train a ML model to do the same.
- Will this, or anything else UCLA SETI does this decade, result in them announcing they've found scientific evidence of past or present non-human technology with high confidence? If they announce a selection of candidate signals, or announce with low confidence and one of those is verified as genuine by another party, that also counts.
- See arewealone.earth and https://www.zooniverse.org/projects/ucla-seti-group/are-we-alone-in-the-universe/about/research for more.
