Matrixdock is part of the Matrixport group and says it was founded in February 2023. It publishes no founder or executive roster, so the individuals behind the product are not publicly identified. The licences page names MATRIX INFINITUS (HONG KONG) LIMITED, registered with Hong Kong Customs and Excise as a dealer in precious metals and stones.
Matrixdock launched the STBT treasury bill token first, introduced XAUm in September 2024, named Brink's as custodian that November, and consolidated its chain deployments in August 2026.
Primary issuance is permissioned. A user completes KYC, binds a wallet, then mints by sending stablecoins with a maximum acceptable slippage. Orders execute during stated trading hours, delivering within T+3. Holding and swapping XAUm on secondary markets needs no KYC.
