BOME was created by a pseudonymous artist known as Darkfarms, who posts as Darkfarms1 and is known for Pepe-themed artwork. The people behind that name are not publicly identified, and no company or foundation is associated with it. The launch was an open presale in March 2024: participants sent SOL to a designated address over roughly twenty-four hours and received BOME pro rata. Reported distribution was 50 percent to presale participants, 30 percent to liquidity and 20 percent to a community fund. Binance and other major exchanges listed BOME within days.

Mechanically, BOME is a standard SPL token on Solana, with a launch supply of 69,000,000,420. There is no contract system beyond the token itself, no emission schedule, no staking and no documented treasury program.

The archival component sits outside the token.
