Resolution criteria
- This market resolves YES if any NATO or EU member country orders one or more ISPs to block access to a website in the .gov domain before noon, January 20, 2029 (Eastern Time).
- The blocking must be a formal directive to ISPs, either by the government, a judge, or anyone legally authorized to issue such orders in the local political system, not a "voluntary" action by individual ISPs.
- Resolution will be determined by credible news reports, official government statements, or documented ISP blocking lists confirming the order.
- The market resolves NO if no such order is issued by the deadline.
- The question is motivated by reports of a US plan to set an online portal at freedom.gov to bypass foreign censorship, allowing users to route their traffic through it so it appears to originate from within the United States.
