What Is Pieverse (PIEVERSE)?

Pieverse is a Web3 payment infrastructure project on BNB Chain, aimed at machine to machine and agent driven commerce. Its core idea is gasless, auditable stablecoin payments: a payer signs an authorisation, a relayer submits it and covers gas, and the transaction produces on chain artefacts such as invoices, receipts and conditional checks. It also runs an agent platform and, earlier, time based products branded TimeFi. PIEVERSE is the network token, BEP-20 on BNB Chain with an ERC-20 deployment on Ethereum.

Who Founded Pieverse? (History)

Pieverse was founded in 2024. Its whitepaper names Colin as co founder and chief executive, previously an engineer at Google and Uber, and David as co founder handling marketing, previously in ecosystem roles at Polkadot and Paxful. The project was selected for a season of the Binance Labs Most Valuable Builder accelerator. Its initial positioning was TimeFi, monetising verifiable time commitments, before the emphasis moved to payment rails and agent infrastructure.

How Pieverse Works

The payment layer extends x402, a pattern in which an HTTP 402 response carries machine readable payment terms so software can pay and retry without a human. Pieverse's variant, x402b, pairs this with pieUSD, a wrapped stablecoin supporting authorisation style transfers. The payer signs off chain; a relayer broadcasts and pays gas, then is reimbursed on chain, so the user needs no gas token.

On top of settlement, the system generates structured records. Invoices are on chain bills, receipts are audit records with jurisdiction specific tax handling, and checks behave as programmable conditional instruments similar to escrow. The aim is that automated payments stay reconcilable rather than opaque.

PIEVERSE Token Utility

The token has a total supply of one billion. Documented distribution allocates roughly 27.6 percent to community growth, 27.4 percent to ecosystem and marketing, 20 percent to team and advisors, 15 percent to investors and 10 percent to a foundation reserve. Stated utility covers governance, staking, discounted fees and priority access to beta features. Settlement is designed around pieUSD, so the token is adjacent to payment volume rather than consumed by it.

What Makes Pieverse Unique?

Most agent payment work stops at moving value. Pieverse's distinctive claim is the record layer: invoices, receipts and checks as first class on chain objects, so automated spending can be reconciled afterwards. Building on an emerging open standard rather than a closed API is also a deliberate interoperability choice.

How Pieverse Differs from Similar Projects

Payment focused chains optimise for throughput and cost on ordinary transfers. Agent frameworks focus on reasoning and tool use and treat payment as an integration. Pieverse sits at the intersection, targeting the accounting surface that appears once software spends money autonomously. That niche depends on agent commerce reaching real scale.

How Pieverse Is Secured

Contracts are deployed on BNB Chain and Ethereum and inherit those networks' consensus security. The authorisation based pattern means a payer signs a specific, bounded instruction rather than granting an open ended allowance, limiting the damage a compromised relayer can do, though the relayer remains a liveness dependency. No independent audit of the full stack was located in the sources checked.

Risks and Considerations

The project is young and its positioning has shifted more than once, from TimeFi toward payments and agent tooling, which makes forward statements harder to rely on. Much of the supply sits in allocations that unlock over time. pieUSD is a wrapper, carrying the risk of both its underlying stablecoin and the wrapping contract. Compliance features are described by the project rather than certified.

Why Pieverse Matters

If software agents start transacting at volume, the hard part will not be sending a payment but accounting for millions of small ones. Pieverse is one of the few projects treating that reconciliation problem as the product.

PIEVERSE is a standard BEP-20 and ERC-20 token, so wallets such as MetaMask, Rabby or Trust Wallet can hold it, and a hardware wallet keeps keys offline. Keep a small BNB balance for gas, and note that balances on one network are not visible on the other.
