Bubblemaps is an on-chain analytics tool that turns token holder data into a visual map. Instead of a table of addresses, you get bubbles sized by holding and connected by transfers, which makes clusters of related wallets obvious at a glance. It is used to spot insider allocations, supply concentration, and coordinated wallets.
BMT is the token attached to that product. It does two specific things: it unlocks a defined set of premium analytics features, and it powers the Intel Desk, a system where the community directs which investigations get attention and rewards the analysts who do the work. Bubblemaps is not a blockchain. BMT is an application token issued on Solana and BNB Chain.
Official sources:
Bubblemaps began as a free visualization tool and built its reputation by publishing investigations that turned out to be right. Its maps became a standard reference during token launch controversies, and the product was picked up as an embedded widget by platforms including Etherscan, DEXScreener, and Pump.fun, which is how many people first encountered it.
The token came later. BMT launched on March 11, 2025 through a Binance Wallet IDO that was heavily oversubscribed, with supply split at launch between Solana and BNB Chain. The company has disclosed backing from investors including Consensys and Ledger. The current product generation is Bubblemaps V2, with the Intel Desk layered on top.
The product has a small number of ideas that do most of the work.
The bubble map Top holders of a token are drawn as nodes sized by balance, with edges drawn where transfers occurred between them. Clusters that share funding become visually obvious.
Magic Nodes The default map only links top holders to each other, which misses the common case where several holders connect through an intermediary that holds nothing itself, such as a shared gas funder or exchange deposit address. Magic Nodes expands the graph beyond top holders to surface those indirect links. It is the feature that finds clusters a plain holder list cannot.
Time-Travel The map can be rewound to any point in a token's history. The most informative moment is usually launch, when allocations to funds, market makers, advisors, and insiders are still in their original wallets. Comparing the launch map with a later one is the core analytical move.
The Intel Desk When an incident happens, a case page is created. BMT holders allocate tokens to vote on which cases matter, and the vote share sets a multiplier that boosts rewards for contributors working that case. Contributors are ranked by impact and paid at the end of each season. Anyone can also fund an independent bounty in BMT for a case that is not winning the popular vote.
The company also sells the underlying data commercially, through an embeddable iframe and a REST API covering holder, transfer, and cluster data. That API's public changelog was still receiving entries in September 2026, a useful signal that the infrastructure is maintained rather than dormant.
BMT is used to:
The design is deliberate: the core product stays free so the tool keeps its reach, and the token gates the advanced tier and coordinates the research marketplace.
Most analytics tokens are attached to dashboards that would work identically without a token. Bubblemaps is one of the few where the token has a job that is hard to do otherwise: deciding which investigations deserve scarce analyst attention, and paying for the result. Vote weighting by holding is a crude but functional priority mechanism for a public good nobody otherwise funds.
The second differentiator is distribution. Because the maps are embedded inside explorers and DEX interfaces, Bubblemaps reaches people at the moment they are evaluating a token, not afterward.
Against Arkham, the nearest comparison, both combine on-chain intelligence with a token driven bounty market. Arkham emphasizes entity attribution, naming who is behind an address. Bubblemaps emphasizes structure, showing how wallets connect regardless of whether anyone is named. They answer different questions.
Against data infrastructure such as The Graph or oracle networks such as Chainlink, the difference is category. Those are protocols other software consumes; Bubblemaps is a product humans look at, with an API business attached. Against generic dashboards, the distinction is the graph itself: a holder table tells you concentration, while a bubble map with Magic Nodes and Time-Travel tells you whether that concentration is coordinated.
BMT itself is secured by the chains it lives on. On Solana it is an SPL token at FQgtfugBdpFN7PZ6NdPrZpVLDBrPGxXesi4gVu3vErhY with 9 decimals. A live read of that mint shows the freeze authority revoked, so no party can freeze a holder's account, but the mint authority is not revoked. It is assigned to a program controlled account used by the omnichain bridge, which is exactly what the design requires: tokens are burned on the source chain and minted on the destination chain when BMT moves between networks.
That has a precise implication for supply. The BNB Chain contract at 0x7d814b9eD370Ec0a502EdC3267393bF62d891B62 reports the name Bubblemaps with 18 decimals, exposes LayerZero's OFT interface, and has no cap() function. Minting and burning there occur inside the bridging path rather than through a public mint entry point. So the 1,000,000,000 total is a tokenomics commitment enforced by the issuer and the bridge design, not a ceiling any single contract checks. The published allocation is roughly 22 percent to the airdrop, 21 percent to the ecosystem, 19 percent to investors, 12 percent to liquidity, 9 percent to the team, 6 percent to protocol development, and 10 percent across the Binance IDO, HODLer airdrop, and marketing, with full unlock four years after listing.
The analysis product carries a different risk: clustering is inference. A map can suggest a relationship that has an innocent explanation, so conclusions drawn from it are evidence, not proof.
cap() checkPublic blockchains are transparent in principle and unreadable in practice. Bubblemaps is one of the more successful attempts to close that gap for ordinary users, and it does so at the moment of decision, inside the explorers and trading interfaces where people actually look. The Intel Desk is a real experiment in whether crowd funded investigation can be sustained with a token rather than a subscription.
BMT trades on centralized exchanges and on decentralized venues on both Solana and BNB Chain. Availability and pairs differ by venue and region.
BMT has commonly been available on:
Pairs are usually quoted against USDT. Confirm the listing with the venue.
Check which chain your BMT is on before sending. The two deployments share a ticker but are separate addresses, and moving between them requires the bridge.
