Power Protocol is a blockchain gaming and entertainment project built around a single shared token, POWER, that is meant to be used across multiple games and consumer apps rather than sitting inside one title. Its flagship product is Fableborne, a mobile action RPG with base-building elements made by the studio Pixion Games.
POWER is an ERC-20 token, not a blockchain. The canonical issuance lives on Ethereum at 0x9dC44ae5BE187ECA9e2A67e33f27A4c91cEA1223 with 18 decimals and a total supply of 1,000,000,000. Separate deployments exist on BNB Chain, at the same address, and on Ronin at 0x394cEF8bDd737EE24DBc9f43d0d5D2ab83136054.
The project describes itself as an economic layer for game studios: the part of a live game economy that handles rewards, sinks, and incentive tuning, so studios do not have to design token economics from scratch.
Official sources:
Power Protocol is closely tied to Pixion Games, a UK-based studio founded and led by Kam Punia, previously at Konami. The whitepaper lists a team drawn from Konami, Blizzard, Riot, King, Sony, Wargaming, Pixonic, Ubisoft, and NCSOFT, including Tamara Slavskaya as director of operations, Semen Samusev as technical director, and Maria Gillies as product director.
Fableborne came first and the protocol was built out around it. Press reporting indicates Pixion Games raised roughly 12.4 million dollars to scale Fableborne, and that Power Protocol later raised about 3 million dollars in a round involving BITKRAFT. These raise figures come from secondary reporting rather than an official disclosure page, so treat them as approximate.
The POWER token generation event took place on December 5, 2025, timed with the release of Fableborne Season 4.
The application layer Games and consumer apps sit on top. Fableborne is the reference implementation: in-game actions such as battles, builds, and upgrades generate event data that is streamed into the Power Protocol SDK, while onchain hooks cover staking, reward redemption, leaderboard proof-of-play, and guild reward distribution.
The protocol layer Power Protocol is described as a modular SDK plus a smart contract suite that lets an app create, fund, and measure an incentive economy. The stated goal is to give a third-party studio the reward rails and token sinks without that studio having to launch its own token.
The incubation layer Power Labs incubates new products that plug back into the same token, either through buybacks, swaps, or programmable app tokens.
The data layer The whitepaper describes telemetry from gameplay, retention, and economic data being used for reward optimization, fraud and multi-account detection, and public analytics dashboards.
Note that the whitepaper also gestures at a possible future "Layer X" beneath the ecosystem. That is presented as speculative, and no dedicated Power Protocol chain exists today.
Inside Fableborne, the documented uses are concrete and player-facing:
Across the wider ecosystem, POWER is intended as the unit of account for partner integrations and Power Labs projects.
Supply is 1,000,000,000 POWER. The published allocation is 37.2 percent to community rewards and emissions, 28 percent to an ecosystem fund, 16.15 percent to investors, 9.23 percent to the team, 5 percent to liquidity, and 4.42 percent to advisors. Community rewards started with 13.2 percent unlocked at the token generation event and distribute over 48 months. Team and advisor allocations have a 12-month cliff followed by 36 months of vesting, investors have 4 to 12 month cliffs with 6 to 36 month vesting, and the ecosystem fund began at 2.8 percent unlocked with the rest releasing over 36 months. A further 4 percent of total supply is earmarked for Kingdom staking rewards.
One point deserves care, because the whitepaper's value-accrual language and the deployed code do not fully agree. The whitepaper says fiat and token flows are converted into POWER "via buybacks, treasury, and burns" and that each cycle means more POWER is "bought, staked, and burned." A direct read of the Ethereum contract shows no burn and no burnFrom entry point, and no mint function either. The Ethereum issuance is therefore fixed and cannot be reduced by the token contract itself. At the time of this check, the conventional 0x...dEaD burn address held no POWER on Ethereum. The BNB Chain and Ronin deployments are different contracts that do expose mint and burn, which is the normal pattern for bridge-controlled representations: burning there destroys a bridged copy rather than the Ethereum issuance. In short, buybacks can remove POWER from the tradable float by holding it, but a supply reduction at the canonical contract is not something the current code supports.
Most comparable gaming projects took the chain route. Ronin built a dedicated network around Axie Infinity, and Beam runs its own subnet. Power Protocol did not build a chain. It issues an ERC-20 on Ethereum and relies on bridged deployments to BNB Chain and Ronin for distribution and game integration.
That choice trades control for speed. There is no sequencer to run, no validator set to bootstrap, and no gas token dynamic to manage, but there is also no network-level fee capture. Value accrual depends entirely on whether games and partners create genuine demand for the token, and on how the treasury deploys buybacks.
POWER is secured by the networks it lives on. The canonical contract inherits Ethereum's settlement guarantees, and its supply behavior is constrained by code with no mint function. Administrative ownership on Ethereum rests with a 3-of-5 multisig, which limits single-key compromise.
The bridged deployments are a different risk surface. Those contracts can mint and burn, so their integrity depends on the bridge operator's key management rather than on Ethereum alone. The game-side systems, including reward distribution and live ops, are operated by the studio rather than by a decentralized protocol, so their correctness depends on the team.
Power Protocol is one of the clearer attempts to fix a structural problem in blockchain gaming: every studio launching its own token, then having to defend it alone. Consolidating sinks, rewards, and live ops behind one token shared across titles is a reasonable response, and starting from a shipped mobile game rather than a whitepaper gives the thesis something to test against. The honest caveat is that the test has barely begun.
POWER is available on centralized exchanges and on decentralized venues on the networks where it is deployed. Availability and pairs vary by jurisdiction. Before any onchain trade, check the contract address against the official whitepaper, since the same ticker is used by unrelated projects.
POWER has been listed on venues including:
Pairs are commonly quoted against USDT where supported.
Confirm the network before every deposit and withdrawal. The Ethereum and BNB Chain deployments share an address but are different contracts on different networks.
