United Stables issues U, a US dollar-pegged stablecoin designed to consolidate liquidity fragmented across exchanges, DeFi and payment networks. It is issued by United Stables Limited of the British Virgin Islands and deployed natively on BNB Smart Chain and Ethereum rather than bridged. The distinguishing feature is its collateral: alongside cash held with banking partners, U can be minted directly against other established dollar stablecoins.

The project publishes no founding story or named leadership, so individual founders should be treated as not publicly established. U launched in December 2025, going live natively on BNB Smart Chain and Ethereum, and supply passed one billion units within a few months. In 2026 the project adopted Chainlink data feeds and Proof of Reserve, and later extended to TRON.
A user mints U by depositing supported collateral through the official platform and receives it at the peg price, with redemption reversing the process. Because approved dollar stablecoins such as USDT, USDC and USD1 count as direct collateral, issuance does not require a bank wire for every mint, which lets supply scale quickly. Reserves sit in segregated accounts, with fiat at accredited banks and digital assets with licensed custodians, verified through on-chain Proof of Reserve and periodic audits.
U is a settlement and unit-of-account asset, used for trading pairs, as a liquidity pool asset, as collateral in lending markets, and for payments. The project also positions U as a payment asset for automated agents, with plans to support EIP-3009, which enables signature-authorised transfers so a third party can pay the gas.
The reserve model. Most fiat-backed stablecoins are minted only against cash and short-dated government securities, tying issuance to banking hours, whereas accepting other major stablecoins as direct collateral lets United Stables absorb existing on-chain dollar liquidity immediately.
USDT and USDC are backed predominantly by cash and short-term treasuries and are among the assets U accepts as collateral, which puts U structurally one layer downstream of them. The practical difference from USD1, RLUSD or FDUSD is that holders of U inherit those issuers' risk in addition to United Stables' own.
At the network layer, U is an ordinary token contract inheriting each chain's consensus security; on-chain queries confirm the name United Stables, the symbol U and 18 decimals on BNB Chain. At the issuer layer, backing is published through on-chain Proof of Reserve so reserves can be compared against supply in real time. The issuer retains administrative control over the contracts.
United Stables is a useful example of a newer category of stablecoin competing on distribution and issuance speed rather than reserve novelty. Durability depends on how transparently the reserve mix is reported and how it behaves under stress.
U is listed on a number of centralised exchanges and trades on decentralised exchanges on BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum and TRON, including stablecoin pools. Approved participants can also mint directly, and when withdrawing you should match the network and verify the contract address first.
On BNB Smart Chain and Ethereum, U works with any EVM wallet, including MetaMask and Trust Wallet, and on TRON with TronLink. Self-custody removes exchange counterparty risk but not issuer risk, since a centrally issued stablecoin can be frozen at the contract level.
