Seeker is the token behind Solana Mobile's effort to build a decentralized mobile ecosystem around its Seeker smartphone. Solana Mobile describes SKR as the native asset of that ecosystem, which "distributes control, powers curation, and aligns incentives across builders, users, and hardware partners." The token is an SPL asset on Solana and is used to elect and delegate to Guardians, the operators who verify devices and curate the ecosystem's app store. SKR began trading in January 2026.
Official resources:
Seeker is a product of Solana Mobile, the hardware and software initiative associated with the Solana ecosystem, and Solana Labs holds a named allocation in the SKR distribution. Solana Mobile's public materials describe the organization and the Guardian set rather than naming individual founders, so the people who initiated the SKR design are not identified in official documentation.
The architecture is called TEEPIN, the Trusted Execution Environment Platform Infrastructure Network. It uses the trusted execution environment inside supported hardware to produce tamper resistant proofs of device state that can be verified on-chain. Guardians do the verification work: running security checks, reviewing app submissions, generating cryptographic proofs and updating verification software. They are elected by SKR holders who stake to them, in two day epochs.
SKR governs curation, since staking to a Guardian is how holders elect the operators who decide what is verified and distributed. Supply is 10 billion SKR, allocated as 30 percent to airdrops unlocked at launch, 25 percent to growth and partnerships with a linear 18 month unlock, 15 percent to the team with a 12 month cliff and 36 month vest, 10 percent to liquidity and launch, 10 percent to Solana Labs on the same cliff and vest, and 10 percent to a governance managed community treasury. Inflation begins at 10 percent in year one and falls by 25 percent each year until it reaches a terminal 2 percent.
Device verification is anchored in a trusted execution environment and then attested on-chain, so being treated as a verified device is a cryptographic claim rather than a permission granted by a platform owner. Pairing that with an elected Guardian set puts app store curation, historically the most centralized part of mobile, under token holder votes.
Helium and GEODNET reward participants for contributing wireless coverage or positioning data. Seeker does not pay for a measurable physical resource: the device is the entry point to a software distribution network, and the token governs who curates it. peaq and XPIN Network focus on machine economies and connectivity infrastructure rather than a consumer handset and app store.
SKR is an SPL token on Solana, so ledger security comes from Solana's validator set and consensus. TEEPIN adds hardware trusted execution environments that produce proofs which cannot be forged by modified software, and the Guardian set is economically bonded through delegated SKR, so operators have stake at risk when performing verification duties.
Hardware is a difficult business, and SKR's value is tied to how many people actually use the devices and the dApp Store. Unlocks are material: growth, team and Solana Labs allocations vest over 18 to 36 months, a persistent supply overhang. Inflation starts at 10 percent, so non stakers are diluted. Trusted execution environments have historically been subject to hardware level vulnerabilities, which would weaken the attestation model if exploited.
The question SKR addresses is whether app distribution can be governed by users rather than a platform owner, with hardware attestation providing the trust a centralized reviewer normally provides.
SKR trades on centralized exchanges that listed it around its January 2026 launch, and on Solana decentralized exchanges and aggregators where it can be swapped against SOL, USDC and other SPL tokens. Before swapping on-chain, verify the mint address on Solscan, since newly listed tokens attract imitations.
SKR can be held in any Solana compatible wallet, including browser, mobile and hardware wallets. Seeker device owners can store it in the on-device Seed Vault, which keeps keys in hardware and uses fingerprint confirmation for signing.
