Resolution criteria
- This market resolves to YES if there is clear, verified photographic or video evidence of at least one Spanish politician looking directly at the Sun during the partial phase of the August 12, 2026 solar eclipse without certified protective solar eyewear.
- Otherwise, this market resolves to NO.
- Definitions & Scope:
- Outside the total eclipse phase: The direct viewing must occur during a partial phase of the eclipse (where the Sun is not completely blocked, requiring protective eyewear) or from a location in Spain outside the path of totality.
- If the politician is within the path of totality, the viewing must take place before or after the brief window of 100% totality.
