If no official depth chart is available, the designation comes from official team communications (injury reports, press releases). If the market specifies a range of weeks (e.g., "Week 7 to Week 8"), that range is inclusive of both the first and last week listed. Bye weeks are not considered for the purposes of this market. If Fernando Mendoza is announced as a starter on their current team's bye week, that would count for the following week in which the team has a game scheduled. Example: Player is announced as the starting quarterback for their team's next game in Week 14, which is a bye week for that team. That would count towards the player starting for the first time in Week 15 since no game is scheduled in Week 14.
